Why Monarch Homes

Many people wonder where the name of the company originated. Known as the “King of the Butterflies” the Monarch Butterfly are unique in their seasonal migration. Every year some travel up to 3,000 miles between the northern US/Canada as they spend winter in California or Mexico. Due to their short life cycle multiple generations complete the journey as they travel up to 100 miles each day. The butterflies that head south are not the same ones that return north. It usually takes several generations to complete the full migration cycle. Despite this, the importance of home is never lost on their offspring. Their home origin is passed on to each butterfly so that no matter the distance they can always find their way back home.

A Rutherford County native, Eric grew up in the business alongside his parents as they invested in real estate. He obtained his real estate license and for many years specialized in selling new homes. Working with new home construction, he gained valuable insight into clients’ expectations and goals. Eric then became a general contractor and in 2005 formed Monarch Homes – a Murfreesboro- based company with a reputation of excellence in the industry.

He has spent the last 20 years creating homes that combine modern floorplans with the latest in design and color trends.
